Our comprehensive service incorporates both Residential Design & Interior Design to manage your custom build or renovation. Alana + Kelly implement their full-service expertise to bring your dream home project to life. 

From your initial Discovery Call to the moment you walk through your new doors, everything is meticulously taken care of for you through both a creative & strategic process. Your vision starts to come to life as we implement each detailed element and get you into your curated design through this exceptional service.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

How we work.

You’re about to experience our fine-tuned design process unique to Alana + Kelly Design Co.  and why we are raising the standards of Residential & Interior Design. 

  • An on site work session with Alana + Kelly to review the space, confirm scope of work and initiate ideas - From here, we prepare your proposal.

  • We sit down to discuss all of our functional requirements and design style. Our team measures the space, documents it all and develops the design.

  • Alana + Kelly virtually present your initial design concept and preliminary budget.

  • Alana works on the full construction drawings and co-ordinates with all of the consultants. Alana prepares the building permit package and submits everything for you to the municipality.

  • Kelly completes all aspects of the Interior Design portion of the project. We prepare all presentation drawings, select all details and finishes & compile a comprehensive specification list.

  • We invite you to our studio to present your full design package and finishes!

  • Kelly helps you select new furniture pieces for the space, or we can do a full overhaul of the furniture and decor with another decor presentation.

  • Our team assists with all ordering and deliveries. We visit the site during construction to ensure our vision is coming to life and troubleshoot any problems for you.

  • Our team will place any furniture, decor or artwork to help make the home fully come to life!

  • That’s a wrap! Our team concludes your project with final billing, assisting in any deficiency resolution and your final binder is delivered.

Architectural Design 

Exceptional Collaborative & Creative - Leave your work in our hands.

Together, we work to customize your design package to your needs while considering all Zoning by-law requirements and Ontario Building Code requirements - This is the stuff that most people don’t want or need to deal with, unless they have a professional working on their team. The development of this package will result in a full construction & permit drawing set that will include:

  • Site Plan

  • Floor plans

  • Exterior Elevations

  • Building Sections

Alana will manage all coordination of the required consultants including truss & floor designs, HVAC designs, structural drawings & grading drawings (if required). This ensures every aspect of the build has been considered and has been coordinated for permit and construction. The permit process is handled from application to permit issuance by our team.

Interior Design  

Your space to discover. 

We work with clients, like you, to create luxurious sanctuaries, homes and cottages, because we believe that you deserve to connect, relax and indulge in a beautiful space at the end of the day. Working with our Interior Design team, you will be walking into your custom curated space soon enough, without the stress and decision fatigue. 

The development of this package will result in a full interior design drawing set that will include: 

  • Furniture plans

  • Reflected ceiling plans

  • Electrical plans

  • Fully detailed millwork packages 

  • Finish selection & Documentation 

  • All decoration sourcing & Documentation 

After the design package is complete during the implementation stage, we liaise with the contractor and trades and any vendors to ensure the design vision is carried out as per the drawings and materials. With any custom home or renovation, there can be challenges & obstacles. We routinely schedule site visits and communicate transparently with each project member to ensure every detail is overseen and problems are avoided - This is something we value and desire to handle so you can relax through the process.
